30"x84" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Wood Wooden Exterior French Door 15 Windows Glass

Beautiful, antique, French door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The door has solid Douglas fir cores covered by a 1/8" thick Oak veneer. The door is painted on both sides.

Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door.

The door has an impressive arrangement of 15, true-divided windows (1 of the windows is missing glass) with old glass.

Hardware: The door comes equipped with it's original flush bolt (see last photo). If you'd like to  replace, or add more hardware to the door, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Size: The width of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4" while the height was cut by 1". The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an even height/width, or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy and in great structural condition. It has the typical scrapes,   scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on an old, used door. However, there are no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, or warp. Most of the small blemishes they have will disappear or diminish drastically after stripping and sanding.

(Except the 1 missing lite) all of the glass is intact and also in great condition with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room towards the right and away from a room towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: Do  you want to replace the glass with wooden panels, screen/mesh, or something  else? We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could  make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like  done, and we'll give you a quote.
