30"x92"x1.75" Pair Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged French Double Wood Interior Doors Glass

Beautiful pair of antique double  doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The doors are made of solid pine, and are painted on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the    same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that   old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also  much harder and stronger than young pine.

Except 1 window which has cracked glass (see last photo), each door has an impressive arrangement of 24, true-divided windows with old, wavy glass.

Hardware: Door#2 comes equipped with a flushbolt. If you want to equip the door with hardware, we have a good selection of period hardware to  outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height: The height of Door#1 was unevenly cut  by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a settling  foundation or an old warped floor. We could cut either door to an even height/width, cut them shorter or narrower, and we could also add wood to them  to make them taller or wider to fit your opening--message us for a quote.

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any  other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Except for 1 cracked pane, all of the glass is intact and also in great condition with only subtle scratches.

Modification: We could also modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with panels etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give  you a quote.
