31.5"x79" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Interior SOLID Wood Wooden Door 2 Window

Charming, antique door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern, PA. The  door has a solid pine core covered by a 1/16" birch veneer. The door has 2 windows on both sides. 

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Please don't think that "veneer" means inferior quality.  Unlike the paper-thin  veneers used on modern doors and furniture, these veneers are 1/16" thick and  provide strength and stability to the door.

The glass on the door isn't actually glass, it's plastic (PLEXI) glass. We can  replace the plastic with real glass--message  us for a quote.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay  store).

Uneven Height: The height of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cuts were most likely  to compensate for a warped  floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door  to an even height/width, cut it shorter/narrower, or even build it up to a  larger size--message us  for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in  great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues.  The worst damage on the door are 2 breaks in the veneer on the bottom corner of  the interior hinge-stile and lock-stile (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Besides a break in the top
lite (see 4th photo), all  of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room and end up on your  left side, or away from the room and end up on your left side. We could change the swing--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your eneeds. We could make  a frame, trim or add to the height or  width, replace glass with panels, reverse the swing, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
