Gorgeous, antique, exterior door salvaged from an old, home in  Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine. The door is painted on  both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the   same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years  old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than  young pine.

The door has a single window with a large, beautiful,  Wavy glass lite. There are 3 panels below the glass.

The  door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good  selection of hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

* If you would  like the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us  for a quote.

Quirks & Considerations:

The door has 3, 1/8" gap (see photos #4 - #6). This is not a serious issue  and the door can still be installed and used for decades without the gaps  widening. However, we could close the gaps using clamps and reinforce/secure the  corners using modern glue and some dowels (wooden joints)--message us for a  quote.

The width of the door was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made  to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut   the door to an even height/width, or cut it narrower/shorter, or even build it  up to be wider/taller--message  us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no rot, warp, or any other serious issues.
There is a small break on the top corner of the interior hinge-stile (see 7th  photo) and a small break on the bottom hinge-mortise (see last photo).
Most of the blemishes  that it has will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks."

All of the glass is also intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches

Strip/Refinish: We could   strip/refinish, or partially or completely strip the door to   prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. We  have MANY photos of doors that we've restored that could give   you an idea of how  this door could clean upEmail us with  a small description of what you would like done, and  we'll give you a quote.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a house towards the  left and away from the house towards the right. However, we can modify it to swing in the opposite  direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or  width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us  with a small description of what you would like done,  and we'll give you a quote.
