Handsome, antique, entry door salvaged from an old, home in Northeastern, PA. The door is made of solid pine, and is painted on both sides. It has 5 raised panels on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood.  New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the    same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities  that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine  is also much harder and stronger than young pine

Hardware: The door is antique, and had its original lockset and hinges at one point. However, the previous owner replaced it with more modern hardware. All the hardware works, and is in great condition. THE DOOR COMES WITH ALL THE HARDWARE YOU SEE IN THE PHOTOS If you would like to replace the modern hardware on the door with original, antique, period hardware, check out our online store.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The worst damage is 2, small breaks on the molding (see last photo). Otherwise, most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".

All of the glass is intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a house towards your left, or away from the house towards your right. We could  change the swing of the door--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could  also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your  needs. We could trim or add to the height or width, replace the panel(s)  with glass, vice versa, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a  small description of what  you would like done,  and we'll give you a quote.
