32"x79" Antique Vintage Old Salvaged Reclaimed Arts Crafts Interior Solid Wood Door Flat Recessed 2 Panels

Strong, antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern  Ohio. The door is made of solid pine.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit any of these doors (check out our eBay store).

Uneven Height : The  door's height was unevenly cut by 1/4", most likely made to compensate for a  settling foundation or an old warped floor. We could cut the door to an even 79  3/8" or shorter, and we could even build it up to increase the height--Email us for a quote.

Condition: On the exterior side of the door, the top rail and the edge of  the hinge stile are chipped.

Otherwise, this door is in very good shape with only surface scrapes, scratches, small nail holes--minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during  the finishing process or covered if painted.

Swing: The  door is currently set up to swing inwards, towards the right. However, we can  modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--Email  us for a quote.

Modification: We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width,  replace panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
