Beautiful, antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The door is made of solid Douglas Fir or pine and is painted on both sides.

Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the  same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much  harder and stronger than young  pine.

The door has a window with clear, old, Wavy glass and 3 raised panels below (on both sides).

The glass has a small crack on the top left corner (see 2nd to last photo). We could replace the glass--message us for a quote.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit it (check out our store).

Uneven Height: The door's height  was unevenly cut by 1/4". The cut was most likely made to compensate for a settling foundation or an old warped floor. We could cut the door to an even 79 1/8", cut it shorter or narrower, and we could also add wood to it to make it taller or wider to fit your opening--message us for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no rot, warp, broken or cracked joints, or any other serious issues. The door has a few deep scratches on the hinge-stile (see last photo). However, if you plan on re-painting the door, we can fill the holes--message us for a quote.

Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Other than the crack, the glass is also intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches.

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a home towards the right, or away from the home towards the left. We could modify the door to swing in the opposite direction--message us for a quote.

Modification: We could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, make molding, reverse the swing,  plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you  would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
