32"x79" Vintage Antique Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Wood Wooden Sliding Pocket Door Recessed Panels

Handsome, antique, pocket door salvaged from  an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid, Douglas fir or pine and is painted white  on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine  hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have  the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities  that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also  much harder and stronger than young pine.

The door has 3, raised, horizontal panels on both sides.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a  good selection of hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay store).

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. It  only has nicks and scratches, but no broken  or cracked joints, gouges, rot,  warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will  disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Modification:  We could also modify this door to fit your  opening or suite  your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to  the height or width,  reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Message us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a  quote.
