32"x80" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Interior SOLID Wood Wooden Door 2 Panels

Charming, antique door salvaged from an old,  home in Northeastern, PA. The  door has is made of solid Douglas fir or pine and has 2 recessed (flat) panels on both sides. The door is stained on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However, we have a good selection of hardware to outfit it (check out our eBay  store).

Quirks & Considerations:

The height of Door#1 was uneven by 3/8". The  cut was most likely made to accommodate a warped floor or  sagging foundation.

We could cut the door to an even height, or cut it narrower/shorter, or even  build it up to be wider/taller--message us  for a quote.

The  door has  a thin 1/8" gap (see 5th photo). This is not a serious issue and the doors can  still be installed and used for decades  without the gaps widening. However, we  could close the gaps using clamps and  reinforce/secure the corners using modern  glue and some dowels (wooden joints)--message us  for a quote.

Condition: The door is strong, sturdy, and in  great structural condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no broken  or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. The door has  a break on the molding (see 4th photo) and a small break on the bottom corner of  the exterior hinge-stile (see last photo). Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and  whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Swing: The door is set up to swing into a room and end up on your left side, or away from the room and end up on your right side. We could change the swing--message us for a quote

Modification: We could also modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make  a frame, trim or add to the height or  width, replace panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the  hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give  you a quote.
