CLEANED 4.5"x4.5" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Steel Bronze Copper Ball Tip Finial Exterior Entry Door Hinges Screws

Heavy-duty, antique door hinges salvaged from Northeastern PA sometime during the first half of the previous century. Each hinge is made of solid, heavy, thick , forged steel.  Originally, they were copper plated and finished with black lacquer. Although it's faint, most of the plating and finish remain.

30, old, steel, flathead screws are included.

We removed the hinges from a big door that we salvaged. It measures 42"x83" and weighs over 100lbs. These hinges held up that door for about 100 years, just to give you an idea of how strong and durable these hinges are.

There are new no hinges available today that are this well-made and heavy-duty. Today's steel can't compare to the steel produced during the  time these hinges were made.

At the point of salvage, the hinges were dirty and rusty (see last 2 photos). Since then, we cleaned them to the best of our ability. There are still spots of rust, but that just enhances their distressed look.

Considering their age, the hinges are in great condition.  They have the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to  find on old, used hinges. There are no breaks, cracks, bends, or gouges.  All 3 open and close with ease. The hinges are strong, sturdy, and ready for  another lifetime of service.
