* Shipping prices to the Northeastern states may be significantly lower than the flat rate price we have to ship to all parts of the country. Read the "Shipping" section below for more information.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT ANY DAMAGE THE DOORS HAVE, WE CAN FIX. See the "Condition" section below for more information.

* Although there are 4 doors available, the list price is for 1 door only. If you are planning on buying less than 4 doors please message us to let us know which door(s) you'd like. The first 2 photos show the front and back of door #1, and every 2 photos after that show the front and back of the next door in the lot. The last 2 photos show the side and damage/close-ups of each door.

* Please note  that the 30"x77.5"  in the title is just an estimate. No door is exactly that  size. Please see "Dimensions" below.

Elegant, antique interior doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. The doors are made of solid Douglas fir or pine and have 5 raised panels on both sides. All of the doors are painted on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have   the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities   that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine is also   much harder and stronger than young pine.

Hardware: No door has hardware  included, however, we have a good selection of period hardware in our online store, and tons more in our physical store.

* If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote.

Uneven Height
The height of Door#3 was unevenly cut by 1/2" and the height of Door#4 by 1/4". The cuts were most likely made to  accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut any  of the doors to an even height/width, cut them narrower/shorter, or even  build them up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Condition: The doors have nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, rot, warp, or any other  serious issues.

Cracked Panels: Doors#1, #2 & #3 all have a split/cracked panel (Door#1 has 2 cracked and Door#3 has 3).
Expansion and contraction occurs naturally due to changes in temperature, and  the cracks are just a result of this process over the course of many years. It  may sound funny, but when the panels expanded and reached their limits within  their openings or frames; they were unable to stretch out any further, and  ultimately cracked in the center to relieve their stress or tension.

Breaks: Doors#1 & #4 each have a single break. Door#1's bottom hinge mortise is broken. Door#4 has a small break on its top hinge mortise.

FIXING THE DAMAGE:
We cannot fully repair broken/split panels. However, what we can do is sand the area around the crack, and fill the gaps with wood filler. If you plan on re-painting the door, the cracks/splits would vanish--message us for a quote.

The split/broken hinge-mortises on Doors#1 & #4 can be fixed. What we would do is cut out the damaged wood, and add a solid block of fresh wood.
The breaks would be completely repaired--message us for a quote.

Otherwise,
all of the doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition and most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Modification: Do you want to make a pair using 2 of these doors? Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could trim or add to the heights or widths, reverse the swings, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
