5" Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Steel Double Door Flushbolt Sliding Slide Latch Lock Bolt

Heavy-duty, vintage, spring-loaded door flushbolt made by,  "National Lock Co." of Rockford, IL. The casing is wrought steel and the bolt/rod is cast iron. There  is a long, 23" chain that connects to the base of the bolt and allows you  to engage the bolt from a distance.

If you are not familiar with this type of hardware, it's  the locking mechanism installed on one of the doors in a pair of double doors,  for the purpose of keeping one door stationary, while allowing the other to  swing freely.

We  salvaged the piece from Northeastern PA.  We  found it unpainted and very clean.  It's in  excellent condition! There are no breaks, cracks,  chips, dents, or deep scratches. The spring is strong and is ready for another  lifetime of service. We also greased it to ensure that it operates as  smoothly as possible.
