Lovely, antique handrail salvaged from an old, mid-century home in Northeastern PA. The rail is made of steel and is painted green.

It has 12 vertical, square, spindles (rods or bars), from side to side. In between the 2 middle spindles is a ornate motif consisting of curved wrought steel pieces.

When it was removed, it was not cut out so all 4 of it's installation plates are still attached. Each of these plates has a pre-drilled hole allowing you to insert your bolts to secure the handrail.

Unlike modern, lightweight fencing, you could feel the strength and weight of this piece as soon as you grab it.

Condition:

he handrail is in excellent condition. It's completely, straight, intact, and in good condition with no breaks, cracks, dents, or gouges.

Most of the piece is quite clean with little rust. The majority of the rust is at the bottom (see last photo).

The piece is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service.
