62"x83.5"x1.75" Pair Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Victorian SOLID Wooden Double Pocket Doors

RARE, antique, Pair of Pocket doors salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The doors are made of solid Pine, and are stained on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood. New pine   hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Although these doors were originally installed as pocket doors, they could easily be converted to swing--email us for a quote.

Hardware: The doors come equipped with all of their original hardware. If you would like to add other hardware to the door(s), we have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store and tons more in our physical store.

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no breaks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Door#2 has dog scratches (see last photo). Otherwise, most of the blemishes that the doors have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Modification: We could also modify these doors to fit your  opening or suite your needs.  We could trim or add to the heights or widths, replace glass with wooden panels, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us  with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a  quote.
