74x90" Pair Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Pocket Sliding Double SOLID Wooden Panels Interior Doors

Beautiful pair of antique double  doors salvaged from an old home in Dalton, PA. Both doors are made of either solid Douglas fir, or pine and are stained on both sides.

When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft   wood.  New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the    same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant  qualities  that  old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old  have. Old pine  is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Uneven Height:
The height of Door#1 was unevenly cut by 1/2". The cut was made to accommodate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut the door to an uneven height, cut it narrower or shorter, or even build it up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote.

Hardware: The pair come equipped with its original hardware (Door#2 is missing one of it's plates). If you would like to add hardware to the doors, we have a good selection of period hardware to outfit  them (check out our store).

Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any  other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever  remains will be subtle, "character marks".

Modification: We could also modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace glass with panels etc. Email us with a small description of what  you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
