Antique Florentine Italian Rare Large Triptych w/ Prints Ornate Gilt on Wood Wall Art Christianity Religious Themes from the Bible

For sale is a large, antique, religious triptych made of 3 separate wooden panels with prints and gilt accents. Center panel displays the Three Wise Men with the Holy family. Left and right panels (each with 2 prints) features:  Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Baptism of Christ, Ascension of Jesus and Beheading of John the Baptist. Each print is surrounding with patterns of raised swirls and dots in gilt. The piece opens on hinges and can be beautifully displayed on a tabletop/dresser or hang on the wall. There is a saw tooth hanger on the back to hang it on the wall. Bought it in Italy in the late ’60-s.

Measures: 15 1/2" tall and 23 1/2" wide when opened. 5/8” thick. Middle panel is 11” wide.

In extremely great conditions considering its age. No cracks, breaks, or chips. No damages to the gilt, just few minor wears near the center where the panels fold.

This triptych is a beautiful model of religious piece of art. A truly incredible piece!
