Beautiful, solid wood side chair salvaged from an old home in Scranton, PA. The frame is made of a solid hardwood (walnut or mahogany), and is completely stained and finished (not painted).
 

Notice the lovely, carvings and the design on the top of the backrest--what great accents! The back and seat cushions are upholstered with a reddish-purple colored fabric. All 4 legs have porcelain casters.

As you can see in the last photo, the fabric has a small tear on the front edge, as well as a water stain on the backrest. The stain may be able to be removed with some distilled water. Although the fabric may be worn, the springs on the seat are in excellent condition. The chair would simply need to be re-upholstered. (see last photo).

Considering it's age, the chair is in good condition. Our carpenter inspected the chair from top to bottom, and didn't need to make any repairs or reinforce anything as the chair is strong and sturdy. Expect nicks, scratches, and small areas of worn finish. However, there are no breaks, dents, gouges, rot, or warp.
