Exquisite, antique console table salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The piece was made anywhere from 1906-16 by the H.P. Robertson Company out of Jamestown, NY. It's made of solid wood and has its original stain and finish.
The table has a gorgeous, Victorian-style design with tapered edges on the table top and turned (carved) stretchers and legs below. Notice the beautiful serpentine shape of the tabletop!
Since the table is over 100 years old, damage is to be expected. However, besides a small hairline-sized separation on one of the back legs (see last photo), there isn't any noteable damage to report. The separation also doesn't pose a threat to the structural integrity of the piece.
The stain and finish are worn since they are most likely original to the piece, this gives it it's beautiful, distressed look. If you don't like the distressed, old look of the piece, it'd turn out beautifully after sanding and re-finishing/staining.
Our carpenter inspected the piece from top to bottom and said that all of the joints are tight, and there are no weak spots what-so-ever. Except for the small separation at the back, the piece is in near-excellent structural condition with minimal nicks and scratches. There are no breaks, cracks, gouges, or any serious flaws. This table is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service!
