Up for sale is an exceptional antique American "tiger" oak dresser chest of drawers. Crafted from golden oak with prominent quartersawn grain, this piece features a classic 2-over-2 drawer layout (two top glove drawers over two full-width lower drawers). Recessed side panels and a shaped bottom apron to accentuate the traditional craftsmanship, making it a functional accent piece for any bedroom or living area.
Condition Report
The chest is structurally solid, sturdy, and in good antique condition. Specific age-appropriate notes include:
- Finish & Wood: Golden oak finish highlights strong tiger oak grain. Visible surface wear, light scuffing, and prominent water stains or discoloration marks are present near the front bottom apron and lower face, consistent with age and use over time.
