Lovely, antique desk/vanity salvaged from an old home in Taylor, PA. Made by the "Phenix Furniture Company" out of Warren, PA. The outside is made of Birch, while the drawers are made of Mahogany.

The desk has a beautiful, kidney-shaped design with a serpentine front.
The center of the desk has a wide drawer with a hidden compartment and beveled "makeup" mirror. There are 3, smaller, stacked drawers on each side. The bottom left drawer has a built-in divider for storing different items. Notice all of the beautiful curves and designs this piece has!

The item was originally made as a vanity with a mirror. However, at the point of salvage, the mirror was not included. It can still be used as a desk.

The desk has a few small nicks & scratches and spots of worn finish here and there. The worst damage found on the piece is shown and detailed in the last photo. Otherwise, there are no large breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, or warp.

Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the piece and found no repairs to make nor anything to reinforce. All of the joints are strong, and the desk is sturdy and ready for another lifetime of service!
