Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Shabby Chic Distressed Windsor Solid Hardwood Wood Wooden Spindle Back Dining Side Accent Chair

Wonderful, antique chair salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. It is made of a solid hardwood (possibly maple or birch) and has a distressed black paint all over (except the bottom which is red). There are 5 vertical spindles as the backrest. The legs and stretchers have beautiful turnings (carvings), and the top of the backrest has a lovely curved, serpentine design.

The chair is in excellent structural condition, but does have spots of worn paint, nicks, and light scratches which compliment its distressed style. There are 2 small cracks on the back of the seat (see last photo). However, there are no broken or cracked joints, chips, dents, gouges, or rot. All of the joints where 2 separate parts connect are tight. There is no play, jiggle, or looseness at any joint. This chair was built to last a lifetime or more.
