Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Solid Mahogany Wood Wooden Slant Front Secretary Davenport Desk Writing Table Drawers

Lovely, antique, secretary desk salvaged from Northeastern PA and is made of solid Mahogany.

On top, there is a small compartment. Directly below that is a larger compartment with a slanted door. Inside are 8 smaller drawers. At the bottom of each side of the piece is a set of 4 drawers. Sadly on the left side a drawer is missing.

Overall, the desk has plenty of charming details and ornate carvings.

Although it's hard to notice unless you're looking at it from eye-level, the top compartment door is slightly warped (see 8th photo).

There is a small crack in the front panel (see 2nd to last photo). However, it's completely blocked by the top of the desk, and is only visible unless you're bending down. The back panel is split (see last photo). Since it's on the back, if you put the desk against the wall, it'll never be seen. Otherwise, The desk just has nicks, light scratches, and spots of worn finish here and there--typical wear for an old, used desk. However, there are no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, or warp.

Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the piece and found no repairs to make nor anything to reinforce. All of the joints are strong, and the table is sturdy and ready for another lifetime of service!
