Lovely, antique desk salvaged from Northeastern PA. This piece is made of solid mahogany. The front legs are beautifully carved and connected to the back legs by a stretcher. Notice the casters on each foot!

The desk has 4 drawers (2 large & 2 small). The larger drawers have minor stains. The top center drawer has a felt bottom, while the bottom drawer is just wood.

The desk has 2 holes on the back (see 2nd to last photo). I believe this desk once had a mirror. However, the holes are small, and could potentially be used as a hole to run a computer's cable to a socket.

The desk just has nicks, light scratches (mostly on the top, look at the 4th photo on the right side), and spots of worn finish here and there--typical wear for a used desk. besides a small break on one of the front legs (see last photo), there are no large breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, or warp.

Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the piece and found no repairs to make nor anything to reinforce. All of the joints are strong, and the table is sturdy and ready for another lifetime of service!
