Lovely, Victorian upholstered chair salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. The frame is made of a solid hardwood (walnut or mahogany) and has a dark stained finish. It has a gorgeous light green Fabric seat and backrest.

The wooden frame has lots of elegant, ornate carvings and details, including 2, floral medallions on the top edges of the backrest and a center medallion depicting what seems to be an ancient Greek or Roman soldier (see 2nd to last photo).

As seen in the photos, the upholstery is ripped and has light stains. However, the cushion of the seat and backrest are still in excellent condition with no sag or sinking in.

There is a small break on the front of one of the legs (see last photo).

The front feet have a beautiful, metal caster at the bottom.

Our carpenter inspected the chair from top to bottom, and didn't need to make any repairs or tighten anything as the chair is strong and sturdy. He said that, "it's built like a rock".

Expect nicks and light scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, or warp. This chair is ready for another lifetime of service.
