Antique Vintage Old Fiddle Back SOLID Walnut Wood Wooden Side Dining Accent Desk Chair Floral Needlepoint Fabric Seat

Elegant, antique, side chair salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. It's made of solid walnut and is stained (not painted). The chair is at least 100 years old, but the stain and finish is not. I'm guessing that the chair was refinished 30 - 40 years ago.

Notice the beautiful, burled walnut grain on the backrest--truly remarkable!

The seat is upholstered with a fabric that has a floral, needlepoint design in the center. I'm pretty sure that the fabric, cushion, and webbing under the seat are all original.

Our carpenter inspected the piece thoroughly and found a thin crack in the top of one of the front legs (see last photo). The chair was sturdy and strong before he sealed the crack. It was more of a blemish than a structural threat. However, if we didn't take care of now it could've eventually become an issue.

Otherwise, there are no breaks, cracks, rot, warp, or any other serious flaws.  Expect the typical nicks and light scratches on the wood. The fabric has one small snag in the black, central portion of the seat. It's hard to spot, but you could spot it if you look closely in the photos. Considering it's age, the fabric is in great condition, free of rips, tears, stains, or odors.
