Antique Vintage Old Victorian Carved SOLID Wood Wooden Side Dining Accent Parlor Chair Fabric Seat

Gorgeous, antique armchair salvaged from Central Connecticut. It has a solid, walnut wood frame, and the seat and backrest are upholstered with a diamond-patterned, yellow fabric. The top of the backrest is arched and the 2 wooden sides are topped with beautifully-turned, round finials. There are diamond-shaped, brass grommets (tacks) keeping the fabric held tight onto the backrest; no grommets are missing. All wooden portions are carved, turned, or have a decorative applique.

The wood is in excellent condition and only has the typical tiny nicks and light scratches that you would expect to find on an old, used chair; no breaks, cracks, or gouges. There are 2 small, diamond-shaped appliques missing from one of the legs (see last photo). That is the worse "damage" the chairs have.

The upholstery on the seat & backrest are in good shape but do have tiny snags that look like they were caused by a cat scratching. The cushion is lumpy and I would replace it. The webbing under the chair is tight, clean, and secure. This chair is strong, sturdy, and ready for another lifetime of service!
