Single 5"x5" Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Victorian SOLID Cast Bronze Exterior Entry Door Steeple Tip Finial Lift Off Hinge LH Replacement

* This is a "Left-Hand" hinge. It will only work if your door swings into the room and ends up on your left side. This could also accommodate a door that swings towards you, and ends up on your right side.

* We only have one of these available. Since hinges get damaged sometimes and it's hard to locate a matching replacement, this hinge could be a nice find for someone.

* Although they are not shown in the photos, the hinge comes with 10, antique, flathead, steel installation screws.

This gorgeous, lift-off hinge is made of solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze. It’s a reproduction that was made about 50 or 60 years ago. The original hinge was made during the l870's or 80's by either “Russell & Erwin Mfg. Co” or "P.F. Corbing Mfg Co." both of New Britain, CT.

It has a very interesting design in high relief on both front and back sides, which is accentuated by two, beautiful, ornate steeple tip finials.

It has a light patina (tarnish), which would be easy to remove if you prefer a bright, shiny finish
 

On top of being well made, it's in excellent condition. There are no repairs or modifications. It has nicks and scratches--what you would expect to find on old, used hardware. However, there are no breaks, cracks, chips, or deep scratches. The hinge opens and close effortlessly and the halves slide apart with ease.

Unlike the hinges made today, which you could buy at your local hardware store; this hinge is thicker, heavier, and stronger. It was made of solid cast bronze, not a cheap composite or alloy, and was built to last a lifetime. If you are planning on using this hinge on a new door, it's a very good chance that you'll end up replacing the door before the hinge.
