This listing is for a vintage Kosta Boda lead crystal glass heavy table vase. Contemporary art glass vase features a sphere shape with deep cut diamond panels that enhance the play of light across the clear crystal. Panels are faceted to perfection. Starburst design on bottom. Top displays a laurel wreath band panel (7/8 inch wide). It was purchased in Sweden, late 80’s. Never been used and kept it just for display.

How to tell if it is lead crystal? 

  1. The piece is really heavy and that because adding lead oxide increases its weight. 

  2. If you shine a beam of light directly onto lead crystal, you will notice a prism effect.  In other words, you should see different colors of the rainbow.

3. A clear ringing tone when you flick the fingertips of your hand against the crystal.
