Single Antique Vintage Old "City of Chicago Board of Education" SOLID Brass Doorknob Door Knob Handle

Beautiful, original door knob made by, “Russell & Erwin Mfg. Co.,” during the first half of the previous century. The knob is made of solid cast brass.

Although it doesn't have it's original steel spindle, we have one that that we could include free of charge--message us after you checkout if you're interested.

The knob features a hand holding a torch encircled with  2 wreaths and the text, "Board of Education City of Chicago." The beauty of the details is accentuated by a beautiful, rich patina.

The knob is in excellent condition with only light scratches and tiny nicks. There are no breaks, cracks, dents, deep scratches, or gouges. The casting is very crisp considering its age.
