Lovely, solid wood, antique dining chairs salvaged from Northeastern PA. Each chair is made of solid oak and is stained and finished (unpainted). 

The frames of the chairs are antique, but the cushions were re-upholstered 20 years ago.

The backrests have a small bottom rail for lumbar support and a larger rail above. The top rail has beautiful carvings and a cut-out handle for carrying. Below the seat are 4, tapered legs connected together by stretchers. Both of the chairs are pieces of art.

Our carpenter inspected both chairs from top to bottom, and didn't need to glue or reinforce anything as the chairs are strong and sturdy.
Considering their age, the chairs are in great condition with only the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on old, used chairs. The worst damage is a small sliver of wood missing off of a stretcher, and a missing piece of motif on one of the front legs of chair#2 (see last photo). However, There are no broken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, or warp. Even their finish is great shape. The chairs are ready for another lifetime of service.
