Pair of Antique Vintage Louis Rastetter & Sons Co. "Solid Kumfort" Wooden Folding Foldable Portable Theater Accent Dining Chairs Vinyl Seats

Gorgeous, antique, folding chairs salvaged from an old home in northeastern PA. The chairs are made of solid wood and have vinyl fabric seats. Made by the Louis Rastetter & Sons Co sometime in the 1930's. They were a highly successful manufacturing firm based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, that became famous nationwide for creating exceptionally sturdy, high-end folding furniture.

Our carpenter inspected the chairs from top to bottom, and didn't need to make any repairs or reinforce any of the joints. Other than small areas of worn finish and the rips in the vinyl seats (see 6th photo), there are no breaks, cracks, dents, gouges, rot, or warp. The hinges move easily and a free of any breaks, cracks, or corrosion. Once the seats are replaced, these chairs will be ready for another lifetime of service!
