* These chairs are extremely well-built and heavy-duty. Although they have worn finish (mainly on the edges and seat) they are worth re-finishing or painting as they have lasted for the past 50 - 70 years, and will last another century.

Exquisite, vintage, dining chairs salvaged from Northeastern Pennsylvania. Each is made of solid maple wood and retains its original stain and finish. They were made by, "Hale Company" out of East Arlington, Vermont about 60-70 years ago.

They have elegant, arched backrests and saddle seats. Their backrests have 6 vertical spindles. Each spindle, leg and stretcher are beautifully turned (carved).

The chairs' finish is still in great shape. Each chair has a few paint stains on the backrest or seat.

All 3 chairs are in great structural condition, but do have small nicks and light scratches here and there--typical wear for chairs this old. The only damage we could find was a break on the backrest of one of the chairs (see last photo). However, there are no serious flaws like breaks, gouges, rot, or warp. Our carpenter inspected each chair and didn't need to repair, tighten, or reinforce anything! The chairs are ready for another lifetime of service!
