Vintage crewel embroidery framed with patriotic theme inspired by the most famous painting in American history: The Spirit of ’76- Yankee Doodle-War of 1812 of the artist Archibald Willard. It shows two drummers and a fife player marching with a 13-star U.S. flag, saluting the spirit of the American Revolution. This textile art is meticulously hand embroidered with colorful wool threads on stretched ivory linen. Frame is made of solid wood. For wall hanging is a saw tooth hanger on the back.
