For sale is a unique creation of a decorative ceramic sculpture of a Japanese kimono, likely attributed to Etsuko Sakimura. The three-dimensional construction displays undulating forms characteristic of biomorphic art. It features white, earthy tones and metallic gold accents on black painted surface. Orange grosgrain ribbon along the edges and a decoupage floral silk applique on the back.
On the bottom of the sculpture are a seal mark and a handwritten alphanumeric code: 12-463-CL, possible an accession or inventory number. Please see pictures.
Measures approx.: 16 ¾” H x 18’W x 11 ½” Depth. Weight: 16 lbs.
It is in beautiful original condition. There may be any light surface scratches or minor expected wear consistent with age. Right side has a crack that has been glued. Please see last picture.
