This listing is for a vintage large chalk ware/plaster figurine of a clown bust. 
The figurine depicts the famous sad clown character “Weary Willie” created by Emmett Kelly Sr. He became a symbol of The Great Depression era and remains one of the most recognized clown figures in the world. The figurine was produced by ESCO a company known for chalk ware collectible.  Hand sign “EKJ” on the base. Felt on the bottom.

Measures approx.: 12” H x 10" W x 7” Depth.

Good pre-owned conditions. Due to fragile nature of chalkware there are some minor scuffing and paint loss along the bottom edge of the left shoulder and sleeve area. No chips, cracks or repairs. 
This figurine serves as an enjoyable conversation starter or a creative addition to any display.
