This listing is for a vintage Mid Century Japanese brass and pinched glass “ship lantern” musical liquor decanter. It is highlighted by gold flecked /crackles glass housed in a brass frame with handle. Cork stopper comes with stainless steel dasher (pourer spout). Decanter features a wind-up mechanical music box in the base that plays the classic prohibition-era tune "How Dry I Am" whenever you lift the bottle or turn a release lever. Also, it comes with a tiny pin or pressure lever on the base—when you pick the decanter up, the music plays; when you set it back down, it stops. Circa 1960’s.
Measures: 12” (handle extended) x 5 ½” W x 5 ½” Depth. Weight: 2 lb. 15 oz.
Capacity approx. 1 quart (32 oz).
NOS. Never been used. Excellent vintage condition without chips, cracks, or flea bites. Brass is shiny. Music box plays smoothly the tune.
This unique and special MCM decanter will be a very nice addition to a vintage barware, home bar cart or in a man-cave décor.
