Vintage Old MCM Mid Century SOLID Wood Wooden Fabric Folding Foldable Portable Commander Director Chair Seat

This unique "Director" chair was salvaged from a home in Taylor, Pennsylvania. It's made of a solid hardwood (possibly maple or birch) and has a fabric seat and removable backrest. Notice the beautiful floral pattern on the fabric!

Once the fabric backrest is removed, the sides could fold down to form a stool. They can also be folded in half for easy and compact storage.

Our carpenter inspected the chair from top to bottom, and didn't need to make any repairs or reinforce any of the joints. He said that the chair looks like it was barely used because even the finish is in great condition. There are no breaks, cracks, dents, gouges, rot, or warp. The hinges move easily and a free of any breaks, cracks, or corrosion. The upholstery is clean and free of stains or odors. This lovely chairs is ready for a lifetime of service!
