Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged SOLID Cast Brass Door Knob Doorknob Keyhole Plate Escutcheon Key Cover

Handsome, vintage, doorknob escutcheon made during the first half of the previous century. It's made of solid, heavy, thick, cast brass, not flimsy stamped/pressed brass or plated steel.

This lovely plate was salvaged from a 141-year old hardware store in Chicago, IL. It was found fairly clean with only a subtle patina.

The plate is considered, "New Old Stock (NOS)," which means that it was made a long time ago, but was never used. It's in excellent condition with only tiny nicks and light scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, chips, dents, or deep scratches.
